Printing Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing and potential print houses (at supplier). Have the good knowledge of their capacity, capabilities, strengths and weaknesses for the performance evaluation.
- Have the good knowledge & experience about chemicals and their price levels, all printing processes and the cost of all stages.
- Have close contact with chemical/machinery suppliers & print houses in order to follow closely what kind of new wash methods and innovation they are working on.
- Improve print house standards.
- Work closely with the team in order to foresee production bottle necks and quality problems.
- Work on development of new printing methods, find out the recipes/ process.
- Make risk analysis of new print affects in order to foresee potential problem. Work on alternative solution on recipes/work methods/ supplier in order to achieve best printing results within best quality/lead-time/ price.
- In order to secure H&M quality standards for potential orders advice lab for essential tests in development stage.
- Follow closely development samples.
- Go through the technical details of prints and print houses with supplier before production during planning stage.
- Participate in preproduction and inspections if needed.
- Educate the teams in PO regarding print technics
- Secure that production is in accordance with counter sample.
Requirements:
- Graduate from textile university or technical high school, preferably textile engineering, chemistry dept. or chemistry engineering dept. of university.
- Must experience in printing house min 5 years, preferably additional working at dying house, dye stuff company or similar position in supplier or representative office.
- Good communication in English, written & spoken
- Quality conscious & analytical thinking
